Duck's Head

Introduction
My name is Drake, so naturally the duck is my personal totem. I have created this webbed site as a tribute to the Mighty Duck. You won't find any information in here about hunting ducks or eating ducks. Those happen to be two huge No-No's to a Duckster. But you will find plenty of other interesting stuff. Sooo... ruffle up your feathers, flap your wings, and have a great flight around my site! A word of caution: You will find some fowl language here!

The Duck As A Totem Animal
Water fowl are very sacred in the Native American tradition. The duck is seen as a spirit helper of mystics and seers. He has water energy and can clearly see/deal with emotions. The duck represents grace in the water, happiness, spirits of those who have passed on, relationships, calming, free will, clarity despite emotions. A duck is considered trustworthy; social, and unassuming.

Duck will remind us we sometimes need to return to the parts of ourselves that need to feel safe and comfortable. It also teaches us to be graceful when handling our emotions. Duck teaches us to drink sustenance from the waters of life.

Ducks are at home on the water. Since water is linked to the emotional rivers of mankind it reminds us to honor our deepest emotions and nourish ourselves adequately. Developing a stronger sense of self is part of the teaching duck holds. Ducks are graceful as they glide through the water reminding us to be gentle with ourselves as we heal, learn and grow into our perfected self.

Amerindian: Duck is the moderator between sky & water.
Chinese & Japanese: Duck is conjugal happiness & fidelity; felicity; beauty.
Egyptian: Duck is associated with Isis.
Hebrew: Duck is immortality.
